Message of Sympathy and Relief Fundraising for the Floods on the Nepal-China Border

On August 26, large-scale floods and landslides struck the border area between northern Nepal and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Lives have been lost and many people have been affected. We are deeply saddened by this news.

Students from Nepal, China and many other countries study at JCL. Our thoughts are with all of our students, their families and everyone connected to them. If you have any concerns about your family, please speak with your homeroom teacher or the Administration Office.

To support those affected, the school will hold a relief fundraising drive as follows.

• Period — Tuesday, September 1 to noon on Friday, September 4, 2026
• Place — Administration Office counter (donation box provided)
• Recipient — The Nippon Foundation

All donations received will be forwarded to the foundation in full.

Any amount is welcome. Please contribute only what is comfortable for you. After the drive closes we will send the total to The Nippon Foundation and report the amount collected together with the receipt.

Together with you, we pray for the safety of everyone affected and for the swiftest possible recovery.
